On 6th and 7th January 2018, Suraksha participated in the Annual Conference organized by The Bengal Obstetric & Gynaecological Society at ITC Sonar. We launched our new venture "Fetal Medicine Clinic" — A complete solution provider for expectant mothers and their fetus, starting from 4D USG Anomaly Scan, NT scan, Double, Triple, Quadruple marker testing, Non-invasive Prenatal Screening (NIPS), Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGS), Conventional and Molecular Cytogenetics (FISH), New born Screening (NBS) on LCMS-MS platform.
PGS helps to screen and select healthiest embryos for implantation, which increases dramatically the success rate of IVF reducing financial and psychological burden of the couples. NIPS is a test which can be done simply from mother’s peripheral blood to detect abnormalities in developing fetus with 99.9 % sensitivity and specificity as early as 10th week of pregnancy without causing any harm to the fetus. Both the tests are done on the most advanced Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Platform.
Our Consultant Molecular Biologist Dr. Tridip Chatterjee presented a lecture on "Prenatal Molecular Diagnostics" at the conference, which was appreciated by all present members.
We are the first Diagnostic lab in Eastern India to come up with NGS, FISH & LCMS-MS technologies.
